Happy Pongal!
Yesterday 25 Sydney Tamil organisations came together in Holroyd Gardens to celebrate Pongol, the Tamil rice harvest festival. Rice is boiled with milk until it boils over, giving thanks to the sun god for the harvest.
Despite the rain, it was a wonderful celebration!
